Cooklet is a platform for organizing and sharing recipes.
The platform is new and is currently in beta. There is no history information or traffic statistics.
Cooklet is very similar to many recipe sharing online websites. Registration allows use of mobile apps, shopping list creator, and a free eBook of recipes.
Esthetically, the site is pleasing and uncluttered. Recipes may be searched or browsed and even modified for the number of servings. Each recipe may be rated by users.
Categories are by meal rather than type of recipe (dessert, main course, or appetizer) and this makes browsing more challenging. Sections are sparsely populated as this is still in beta, so it is difficult to assess the quality of information to be provided in the “Academy” section.
Cooklet could be a useful site if it works out the signup bugs and populates the site with more content. As for now, it is a pale imitation of AllRecipes.
Users provide an email address and password to register. A registration email is then sent to the provided address. During review, an error occurred during registration and it was not processed. Repeated attempts continued to generate the error.
Cooklet is completely free to use.
As it is now, Cooklet is not recommended.
